WWWD? (What Would Washi Do?!)

Helloooo friends! This post is about Washi Tape and if you haven't heard of Washi  before its basically a Japanese crafting tape, made from paper and is usually patterned and very pretty! Although its made from paper, its extremely durable and if its applied to a coated surface, it can often be removed and re-applied many times. It can be bought in most craft or stationary stores and definitely on websites like ebay, etsy and amazon!
Anyway! Thats was Washi 101 and now we're going to move onto a little renter friendly DIY. This is great if you have lots of photos or little pictures you want to display but you don't want to go around knocking holes in the walls, and also its a very cheap way of 'framing' pictures without having to buy frames!
So, here goes! This is what you'll need:

So you'll need some Washi tape, I chose an aqua polka dot design, some scissors - you can actually rip Washi tape very easily but you'll want nice straight edges for this, and also a picture!

So, start with a strip across the top, it doesn't matter if you do it a little wonky as you can peel it off and re-apply. When you've got it in place, trim the edges straight.

Do the same on the other sides, you'll need a bit of patience for this!

When you're done, just press it against the wall and ta-da! And again, don't worry if its wonky or you want to put it somewhere else as it will come off very easily and won't damage any of the paint work!

Why not have a little cluster of photographs or images? It brings colour and personality into a room and its a 'renters' best friend!

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know if you try it out!

Thanks for reading, Yasmin x
