Quick DIY/Hack

And a happy Monday to you too, urgh!
I found this great photo of my grandfather when he was in his 20s whilst I was rooting around my remaining boxed up belongings (theres not many, I swear!) and I really wanted to display it, but its a little old and creased so it needed to be in a frame and, of course, I had no frame small or rectangular enough to house it. I call this a little DIY/hack because I guess  its a little bit of both!

After stomping around the house for a bit with the photo in hand, hoping that a perfectly sized frame would magically appear, I decided to use some initiative, and my creative know how and figure out a solution.

I took a frame I already had, which still had some kind of ageing Ikea stock photo in it (obviously at some point I had the opposite problem) and cut a piece of fabric to fit, using said photo as a template. I chose a red gingham as I have a lot of red in my living room and I like gingham okay?!

Popped the photo in front and Bobs your uncle! I love how the red brings out the orangey hue that the photo has gained over time! I hope this little post helps you too!

Thank you for reading! Yasmin x
